Why Mythos exists
Personality tests are everywhere. Most are fast, flat and interchangeable. We wanted something slower, something that listens, and something that does not use old stories as decoration.
Eastern mythology is full of figures carrying existential questions: wait or act? loyalty or change? closeness or freedom? These questions are not outdated. They are simply old enough to be useful.
The method
A language model runs the conversation, but it does not invent the archetypes. The eight profiles, the scoring logic and the oracle's boundaries are fixed in the system. The AI helps with listening; it is not the authority.
After the conversation, your answers are weighed against all eight patterns. You see a ranking and a reading that explains why the pattern fits — not a fabricated precision score.
Our boundaries
Mythos is not a therapist, a doctor or a spiritual authority. We do not believe a test decrypts your soul. We believe a good story leaves you with a better question.

How we handle culture
Some of our figures are historical (Guan Yu, Xuanzang), some are legendary or heavily mythologized (Jiang Ziya, Lu Ban, Shen Nong, Huangdi, Guiguzi), and one is a literary character (Sun Wukong). We say so. Respect for a tradition begins with not flattening it into a costume.
